Quick Update

I'm back! At least for a day :) My non-posting reasons have been the same - I'm super busy AND I don't have internet at my house. Long story, but apparently AT&T doesn't service my area even though we've had internet with them for the past year and they've been sending me pamphlets to re-activate my service. Anyway, Elysia and I are Facebook deprived. Thank goodness for my iPhone (or brain, as Eli and Derrick like to call it). So, yeah, it's somehow the last day of June and it still hasn't really felt like summer in San Diego. We had one heat spell, but other than that the June Gloom is still lingering here and there. I am completely prepared for when summer decides to show it's face though because Todd installed an air conditioner for me. Woohoo! I've been thoroughly enjoying sleeping in a cold room. Actually, everyone's been enjoying my room. Elysia took a nap in it the other day when I was gone and everyone piled in during that heat spell to hang out. It was pretty funny, considering I don't have that big of a room.

Here are my other updates:

1. I've been at my job for one year! I have no idea how a year went by, but it did. I had my review last week and despite a little bit of nervousness, everything went really well. I'm excited to see how this year will unfold. I've already learned so much here and know that I am 10 times a better writer and strategic thinker than I was when I first started.

2. It's wedding season. Yes! I finally got to say that! Anyway, this is the first year where a bunch a people I know are getting married. It's totally weird, but also exciting. I love weddings, so no complaints here. This past weekend, Todd and I headed up to the Santa Barbara area for the first one. Todd was actually invited to two more that we couldn't make it to, so we could have been going to five weddings this summer - ah!

3. The countdown to my birthday has begun! That's right, it's almost July and that means 31 days till my birthday. I'm turning 23, which is just crazy, but I'm trying to think of fun things to do. Lemme know if you have any ideas!

And that's it I think. I'm really looking forward to the 4th of July and I'm praying that I get to see fireworks this year. I'll keep ya posted on anything exciting that happens in the meantime.

Twentysomething Words

My name is Amanda and I'm a twentysomething. To some, this may seem young. To me, it's a whole new world. These are my thoughts on life, the world and surviving that enivitable quarter-life crisis.
